August 2019

Ryan Keberle (AD ’03, jazz studies) and his group Catharsis released their fifth album, The Hope I Hold, in June, which features lyrics drawn from Langston Hughes’ 1935 poem, “Let America Be America Again.” The group features saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist Scott Robinson, drummer Eric Doob, bassist Jorge Roeder, and guitarist/vocalist Camila Meza, and Keberle on trombone, vocals, and keyboards. “Despite the Dream” is the album’s second track.
